Diamonds and Ruby's! The Gemological Institute (GIA) is a private educational, research center, the "World's Foremost Authority in Gemology." It is the creator of the 4Cs of diamond quality. Explore the campus hallways on a guided tour to learn about diamonds, precious gems, fine jewelry-making, and world mining sites (yes, Pala is on the map!). Be amazed by the curated exhibits of gems- giant and small, raw and cut- and by the unique artistic creations on loan from the GIA vault. The Museum showcases the science and beauty of gems and minerals. The Library serves as the industry's most authoritative resource to access the knowledge and history of gemology, with publications dating from the 1500s. Tour is free but requires a govt-issued ID. Lunch to follow at Ruby's Diner, in the outlet mall below the Flower Fields. NOTE: Register early, by 5/7. Please add your name to Wait List if event is full so we can form a second tour group. Carpool at Major MarketPlace lot at 9:45 AM.
Registration cancellations will be accepted
